Beneficial Bacteria for Plants

Growing Corn by Using Biofertilizers

The use of beneficial bacteria for plants has increased in recent years, along with the increased use of biofertilizers in general. This article shows the use of beneficial bacteria in growing corn.

Here’s  the definition of biofertilizer from Wikipedia.

A Bio fertilizer (also bio-fertilizer) is a substance which contains living microorganisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonizes the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promotes growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant.

For corn biofertilizers the major benefits to the plant are:

  • Reduced Stress from High Moisture
  • Overall Healthier Plant
  • Increased Corn Yield
  • Less traditional fertilizer (N.P.K) used.
